HCA Florida Lake City Hospital Celebrates 2,000 Robotic Surgeries Milestone

HCA Florida Lake City Hospital today announced the completion of its 2,000th robotic-assisted surgery, marking a significant milestone in the hospital’s commitment to providing advanced surgical care close to home. Robotic-assisted procedures offer patients the benefits of minimally invasive surgery, including smaller incisions, reduced pain, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery times.

      The 2,000th robotic-assisted surgery, a hernia repair performed by Dr. Mary Kedrowski, a board-certified general surgeon at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital, is a testament to the hospital’s advanced capabilities and the collaborative efforts of its expert medical team and surgical staff.

     The robotic surgery program supports a range of procedures, including gallbladder, hernia, hysterectomy and other surgeries. The hospital’s investment in advanced robotic technology and highly trained surgical teams has helped expand access to minimally invasive procedures throughout the region.
