This Fourth of July promises to be something truly special. As Americans gather together beneath summer skies, waving flags, playing games, eating food and enjoying fireworks, we will celebrate not only our nation’s independence, but also the 250th anniversary of the United States.
For two and a half centuries, generations of Americans have carried forward the ideals America was created on–one nation under God, liberty, courage, and opportunity that began in 1776.
This year’s celebration offers a rare chance to look back with gratitude, honor those who helped shape our nation, and enjoy the simple pleasures of community, family and patriotism. After all, a country only turns 250 once, and that’s certainly worth a little extra red, white, and blue.
Live Oak Freedom Fest - Live Oak will host a free community-wide celebration on July 4, 2026, to commemorate America’s 250th Anniversary. The event takes place at Millennium Park in downtown Live Oak. It will feature live music, food vendors, family activities, a historical timeline parade with a spectacular fireworks finale.
Join the July 4th Historical Timeline Parade in Live Oak! 1776 - 2026!
The festivities are presented by the McAlpin Homeschool Coop and Freedom Fest Committee.
The entire community is invited to join the fun for FREE!
There are so many ways to participate. Kids can ride their decorated bikes. Little ones can be pulled in festive wagons. Golf carts are officially welcome.
What will you wear? Go all out and dress up as your favorite historical figure –from George Washington to Captain America, or simply deck yourself out in your finest red, white and blue to show your patriotic pride.
