New Executive Director at Hamilton Chamber

The Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce they have named Karen L. Williams as the new Executive Director of the Chamber. Karen Williams stepped into the role as Director on January 9, 2018 and has exciting ideas to challenge, change and shape the Chamber to exceed the needs and expectations of its members and the community.

Karen is a native of Hamilton County. She was born at the Hamilton County Hospital, delivered by one of the county’s best, Dr. Frederick Mickler. Karen is a life-long resident of Hamilton County and has lived in Jasper and Jennings areas.

Karen is the founder and president of S2S Ministry, Inc., a local non-profit organization whose current primary ministry is an internet radio station, I Am Christian Radio. She manages the station as well as the broadcast of live weekday shows. Prior to her radio adventures, Karen experienced a fulfilling and rewarding career in law enforcement with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as a criminal investigator. Karen obtained an AA from North Florida Community College and is a Hamilton County Trojan alumna.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to introduce programs and educational opportunities for our members while promoting business growth in Hamilton County,” Williams said. “I look forward to fulfilling the needs of our current membership while spearheading a push for new members in 2018. I’m confident the Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce will continue to grow and exceed the expectations of our membership in the coming years.”

“I am embracing this opportunity to take the Chamber in new directions, exposing this community’s full potential. New Year, new face, new chamber. One of our goals is the implementation of a real-time, easily accessible community calendar.” Williams said.

Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce President, Susan Ramsey, said “The Chamber is excited to welcome Karen as part of our team. Karen is passionate about her hometown and will be a tremendous asset to the Chamber as well as the community. Through her service to Hamilton County over the years, she has established relationships with businesses and citizens that will allow her to easily transition into the role.”
