Suwannee County Fire Rescue family mourns the loss of Lieutenant/Paramedic Joe Buhler

On Tuesday August 21st, the entire Suwannee County Fire Rescue family mourned the sudden loss of Lieutenant/Paramedic Joe Buhler. Lieutenant Buhler died while off duty in Perry Florida where he resides. Suwannee County Fire Rescue extends our thoughts and prayers to his family and close friends. Lieutenant Buhler started his career in the Fire/EMS service in 1979 as a volunteer, later working full time with Brevard County Fire Rescue and also with Palm Bay Fire Rescue.




Lieutenant Buhler has proudly served the citizens of Suwannee County since October of 2010, and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2016. We ask that you keep the family and friends of Lieutenant Buhler, along with our Suwannee County Fire Rescue family in your thoughts and prayers.


Class A uniform required for all service personnel.
