1st Annual McAlpin Chili Cook-Off & Dinner - Fundraiser to support local veterans
American Legion Auxiliary
Calling all cooks! Mark your calendars! The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 107 of Live Oak will be sponsoring their 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off & Dinner on Saturday, March 11th, from 1:30 to 4 PM at the Harry C Gray II Memorial Post, 10726 142nd Street in McAlpin. Prominent local area personalities have been selected to sit on the Judges Panel for this event.
Have you been told your chili is the best? Have you and your family been bragging about an old chili recipe with that special secret ingredient? Let our Judges Panel decide. Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will definitely back up those bragging rights! The American Legion Auxiliary is the largest non-profit women’s organization supporting our veterans, military and their families. Trophies and Awards, door prizes, drawings and raffle will be presented during the dinner.
Sample some great chili, delicious breads, various side dishes to choose from, including desserts and beverages. If you’re entering your chili in the cook-off, bring your family, friends and neighbors to cheer you on. You don’t cook chili? Not a problem! Come enjoy a delicious meal at a great price, while supporting a good cause.
Chili Registration fee is $5 per entry. The Advance Dinner Tickets are available for only $5 each and $7 at the door. Tickets and Registration forms are available at the American Legion Post 107, from Lillian, or by calling the number below. You must register your chili entry before February 28th to qualify.
