Columbia County – Weather and shelter update

According to the latest update from the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, Columbia County could possibly see wind gusts of 30-35 mph beginning Friday, October 7, 2016 at approximately 9:00 am EST. Sustained winds are possible beginning at approximately 10:00 am. Rainfall estimates are still between 1-2 inches with locally heavier rainfall in some areas.

Columbia County currently has three (3) general population shelters and one (1) special needs shelter open. Emergency Shelter Locations currently open:
